Pangbourne Hill

A development of five three storey houses in a former quarry in the heart of the village.
The layout was designed to reflect the natural curve of the steep quarry banks, the houses being set tight against it, with very limited terraced landscaping.
The site and its verticality encouraged first floor living rooms, and a vernacular industrial character, the density and nature of the site requiring very efficient planning of the houses, drives and parking.

Hillside, Pangbourne

An infill plot on a private road; the scheme responds to the scale of adjoining properties whilst maximising the floor area and accommodation.

75 Reading Road

A new development in Berkshire, replacing a bungalow on a prominent main road corner, achieving two flats and two duplex apartments across three floors.
Recently granted Planning Approval.
The 3D model prepared to show how the building design responds to the context of the surrounding area whilst maximising the development.

Woodcote

Proposals for a development of two houses on a tight site in South Oxfordshire, recently granted Planning Approval, and now commenced on site.

Elmcroft

A corner infill site in South Oxfordshire providing two detached executive houses with staggered plans that relate to the existing arrangement of houses, whilst respecting existing trees.

Wandsworth

The Practice were appointed to improve on a rather dull and very unworkable scheme for this very tight site adjoining the River Wandle in London, and produced a successful and attractive scheme for five houses.
The site was formerly a foundry, and required full soil remediation.

The Practice was responsible for all design and Planning matters and latterly full production drawings.

Reading

Feasibility design for a new development of two flats in a residential area, on a very constrained site, consisting solely of six parking spaces owned by a single adjoining householder by historic accident.

The design achieved is fully compliant with all legal and development control requirements, including parking, without comprising existing arrangements.

Windfall Sites

The Practice has long experience of achieving advantageous Planning Approvals for new houses within garden land, often referred to as Windfall Sites. The plans shown here illustrate just a few.
The plans formed just a part of the Planning Application packages, which included Planning Statements in support and illustrative house plans, designs and site sections showing relationships.
